Who Should Use This Test

This test is for men and women who want to understand their hormone levels. It’s useful if you have symptoms like low energy, mood changes, or issues with your menstrual cycle, or if you’re on hormone therapy and want to check how it's working.

How to Collect Your Sample

When to Collect:

  • If you’re a man, child, or a woman who doesn’t get periods, you can collect your sample any day.
  • If you’re a woman with regular periods, collect your sample on Day 19, 20, or 21 of your cycle (where Day 1 is the first day of your period).
  • If you’re a woman with irregular periods, collect your sample 5 days before your period is supposed to start.

Saliva Collection:

  1. Collect your first saliva sample within 30 minutes of waking up.
  2. Wash your hands and rinse your mouth with water.
  3. Let saliva pool in your mouth and then spit it into the large tube. Fill the tube at least halfway.
  4. Write your name, date, and time on the tube and put it in the bag.
  5. Collect the next saliva samples:
  6. Follow the same steps for each collection: wash hands, rinse mouth, collect saliva, fill the tube, and label it.

Important Tips:

  • Don’t eat, drink anything but water, or brush your teeth for at least 2 hours before collecting your saliva.
  • If you make a mistake, rinse the tube with hot water (no soap), let it dry, and try again the next day.

Shipping Instructions

  1. If you’re not shipping the samples right away, freeze them.
  2. Put all the tubes in the bag, then place the bag and the completed test form into the test kit box.
  3. Put the box into the prepaid return envelope, attach the label, and ship it.
  4. Keep track of the return tracking number so you can check on your sample’s journey to the lab.

Results

Your results will be ready in 3-5 business days after the lab gets your samples.

Important Notes

  • Avoid anti-aging creams for at least 3 days before collecting your samples.
  • If you’re on hormone therapy, follow the special instructions about timing your collection.
  • Don’t eat, drink, or brush your teeth for 2 hours before each collection.

    Each individual lab has its own average shipping time (the time it takes for the kit to arrive at your home) and turnaround time (the time it takes for the lab to process samples and provide results after you've mailed back your kit).

    Return packaging is always included in your test kit! Each individual lab has instructions on how to package and return your kit so the sample reaches the laboratory in good condition. These will include a step-by-step guide on how to package and mail back your kit to ensure your sample can be processed!

    We highly recommend taking a photo of your return label so you can personally track your sample back to the lab! Some of our partner labs do notify us when your sample has been received, and you will receive an e-mail from Reveal & Heal Solutions notifying you when this happens. If available, we will also update you with the “Estimated Completion Date” as well.
